EIZO SCD Series of color displays meets the demanding requirements of Medical Imaging with the advantages of digital flat panel technology for reliable
diagnosis.
Technically and economically optimized:
Our flat panel displays
Not a matter of perspective
A common and familiar characteristic with flat panel displays is the fluctuation in visual perception - a definite drawback in medical diagnostics. Users need to constantly search for the optimum viewing angle to make a reliable diagnosis. And it's even harder if two people want to formulate a diagnosis at the same time. Our Dual Domain IPS (in plane switching) technology guarantees consistent gray scale display and luminance over a very wide viewing angle - for all display versions.

2-megapixel display - outstanding price and performance.
Another unique feature is the use of IPS technology for a 2-megapixel display. An extremely low-cost solution for applications which, until now, required the use of 3-megapixel displays.
Blue tinted backlight for optimum sharpness
Ambient lighting in the reading room is usually dark, requiring the use of a person's scotopic vision. Under these conditions, the human eye is particularly sensitive to the blue color temperature range. The color tone of the backlight of the flat panel display is exactly in this range. The effect ist that the iris is less dilated, minimizing lense error and allowing viewers to see the sharpest image possible.

Constant image quality
Our innovative displays show their strength even under bright ambient lighting conditions, e. g. in operating and emergency rooms. Brightness and high contrast are stabilized at a consistently high level for the entire service life of the equipment and already set on each device during production. Up to 1536 gray scales in compliance with the DICOM or CIE standard offer the best prerequisites for a reliable diagnosis. Each display conforms to the DICOM and DIN 6868-57 standards, functions independently of a display controller and can be individually exchanged.
Ideal for side-by-side installation
Thanks to the consistently high image quality of all Siemens displays and the unusually narrow bezel, several displays installed in a row deliver an excellent and uniform overall image. The uniform image display and the minimal weight of the displays mean they are especially suitable for side-by-side installation.

Immediately usable
Conventional CCFL backlights need a warm-up time of up to five minutes. Valuable time that could be used for making a diagnosis. The PLANON® backlight reaches 100 % luminance in just a few milliseconds. That means clear-cut advantages for you across the board: you get the best image quality and diagnostic reliability all the time along with a true energy saving mode option. The energy saving mode not only saves energy, it reduces the number of operating hours and further extends the service life of the flat panel display.
Long service life
Mechanical wear generally entails a higher probability of a failure. That's why all our flat panel displays run without a fan. Always at a constant brightness level thanks to internal control. Another big plus for service life is our innovative,
PLANON backlight, specially developed by Siemens. With roughly 100,000 operating hours, this mercury-free lamp lasts more than twice as long as conventional backlights.

A really strong team
Whether it's the display, graphics card or calibration software, every single member of our flat panel display family offers the best conditions for a reliable diagnosis. When you team them up, you benefit from the full strength of their features: all components are technically optimized to work together - no need to compromise. And you can do without an external power supply, too. Each display already comes equipped with its own completely noiseless, integrated power supply unit.
