EIZO completes Line of Surgical Monitor Solutions
EIZO Europe AB now introduce a new line of surgical monitors, the RadiForce E-Series. E-series consists of four models in different sizes from 15" to 24" wide and is also complemented by selected large medical monitors in Radiforce L and R-series.
The RadiForce E-Series supports multiple input signals to allow connections with both legacy and state-of-the-art endoscopic systems without the need of other optional devices or accompanying costs. With loop-through output support, the monitors are also ideally suited for multi-monitor integration or archiving in the operating room.
The color, hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, temperature and tones of the RadiForce E-Series can be adjusted to best fit the physicians color preference. With Picture-in-Picture (PiP), Picture-and-Picture (PaP), and Picture-over-Picture (PoP) functions, archived images or patient data can be reviewed simultaneously during an operation.
The RadiForce E-Series consists of four models in different sizes and resolutions: the 24" wide EX240W with a 1920 x 1200 native resolution, the 21.3" EX210 with a 1600 x 1200 native resolution, the 19" wide EX190W with a 1680 x 1050 native resolution, and the 15" ES150 with a 1024 x 768 native resolution. All models work with DC powersupply.
The Radiforce L-series consists of 56” LS560W with 8MP (3840x2160) native resolution and LX470W with 1920x1080 native resolution. New 30” RX430 with 4MP native from R-series especially suited for new large monitor manager LMM0801-L completes the new range of monitor selections for modern OR systems.
All models offer compliance with stringent medical, safety, and EMC emissions standards including EN60601-1 and UL60601-1.
Radiforce E-series is available in December 2010.
Radiforce L-series is available now.

Large Monitor Managers improve workflow
EIZO Europe AB now introduces its new Large Monitor Manager LMM0801-L. This image manager allows the flexible composition of digital images on large format monitors for interventional radiology, cardiology and surgery.
In modern operating rooms there is an increasing number of varied image sources which need to be displayed at the same time. Therefore, there is a trend in showing the various images with the assistance of an image management system on only one monitor. This considerably simplifies steps needed, e.g. in the control room, allows work to be done more quickly and without getting tired, and saves space.
The LMM0801-L has 8 video inputs which can be shown in any combination on a 4 megapixel monitor. As 4 megapixel monitors, EIZO provides the models RadiForce RX430 and MX300W. Compared with our existing image manager LMM56800, which is designed for an 8 megapixel monitor, the number of inputs is reduced to enable a less costly overall solution.
The Large Monitor Manager can very flexibly carry the various image signals together. Six inputs of this image manager can process DVI signals at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 including full HD (1920 x 1080). Two of the video inputs can selectively process analog signals, including PAL and NTSC, or DVI signals.
The LMM0801-L enables the concurrent display of various image sources on the connected monitor in user-defined layouts. Various image compositions suitable for the relevant application can be defined in advance and the optimum display mode can be called up for the current step in the procedure with the mouse connected to the LMM0801-L.
In addition, the Large Monitor Manager has a keyboard mouse switch (KVM) function. With just one keyboard and one mouse, up to eight different applications and pictures from different computers can be displayed and operated. For the KMS function 8 USB (B) downstream channels are available to the image source processors. The local keyboard and mouse is connected using USB (A). In addition, further USB ports are available to connect external devices.
LMM0801-L is available in beginning of 2011.
More details on our LMMs and other system components are available in new RadiForce L&E-Series brochure.

RadiForce RX430 - Unique 4MP Widescreen for Color and Monochrome in Diagnostic and OR
First announced in September RadiForce RX430 features an unique Hybrid Gamma function that makes it the world s first* monitor capable of simultaneously displaying monochrome and color images with their own gamma curves.
Hybrid Gamma automatically distinguishes whether the displayed images are monochrome or color even within the same application. It displays the monochrome images in DICOM Part 14 adjusted mode and the color images in gamma 2.2 adjusted mode.
The screen size and native resolution of 4 megapixels (2560 x 1600) for a 16:10 widescreen format give this monitor the same amount of screen size and number of pixels as two 2 megapixel monitors in portrait mode but without the obtrusive bezels.
The RadiForce RX430 supports an Integrated Front Sensor housed within the front bezel to provide independent verification measurement of the grayscale tones and to perform calibration compliant to DICOM Part 14.
It also comes with an integrated presence sensor that offers convenience and energy savings. The presence sensor will prompt the monitor to switch to power save mode when it detects the user is away from the monitor and then resume normal operation when the user returns.
* Statement reflects EIZO’s internal findings as of September 2010.
RX430 is available in January 2011.

RadiForce GX1030 – 10 MP Widescreen for Digital Mammography
EIZO Europe AB recently announced the RadiForce GX1030, a new widescreen 10 megapixel monochrome monitor for digital mammography and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) applications.
The RadiForce GX1030 features a native 4096 × 2560 resolution on a 30 “ screen. The monitor is ideally suited for displaying digital mammography or other large and finely detailed DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) images.
With its widescreen format, the RadiForce GX1030 is an optimal replacement for traditional dual head 5 MP monitor installations. The consistent color point and bezel-less configuration of a single monitor serve to reduce eye fatigue for the radiologist while lowering the administrative and QA costs for the operator. With the unobstructed viewing space, applications can offer greater hanging protocol flexibility for richer comparisons between past and present images.
GX1030 is available in January 2011.
