The monitor is ideal for displaying your surveillance cameras efficiently. Up to 16 IP cameras can be connected directly to the monitor by means of a LAN cable. This means that the monitor can be operated without a PC. It can also be mounted on walls or ceilings thanks to a VESA attachment. Not only does this negate the need for having to install a computer, but it also simplifies the cable routing. Only a power supply and a network connection are needed. Data protection and viewing of camera images
Sometimes live video is required, but storage of images is not allowed. But how can one ensure that no images are recorded? The EIZO IP decoding monitors allow only for the live display of videos. Operators have no way of accessing or exporting video streams. Possible scenarios involve hospitals, prisons, public spaces, checkout counters, front desks and applications for the protection of people.
Edge recording and live video
Where a decentralized recording solution is used (such as edge recording with cloud archiving) live displaying is a challenge. Either software is needed, or streams need to be fetched from the cloud, generating additional traffic on your internet connection (2). With the EIZO IP monitor, it is possible to directly view live video from the cameras (1), completely separated from your recording solution.
VMS-independent fallback solution
VMS forms the basis for reliable video playback in modern VSS solutions. Even though the platform is protected from foreseeable events thanks to server redundancy, the VMS solution – establishing a connection to the operators via a client – should be seen as a critical point. If this system comes under attack or is disabled, the IP decoding monitor, which is independent of the VMS, can provide a redundant solution. To achieve this, it is simply connected directly to the surveillance cameras, the network connection of which is still operational.
Settings such as video layout and camera control are adjustable manually using the included remote control or via the user-friendly web UI for flexible operation.
Custom Screen Layout
Fulfill your individual viewing needs with flexible arrangement of up to 16 screens in a custom layout. Merge individual video feed windows to focus on specific areas, or split them to see more on a single screen using the intuitive user interface. Videos can be viewed in the original aspect ratio or stretched to fill the customised space.
Web API and VMS integration
The monitor’s web API creates a communication interface with the local video management system (VMS). This allows you to integrate IP decoding monitors with your existing security platform or your existing video management system (VMS). For example, a specific response from the monitor can be set to occur automatically based on a pre-set time schedule or when a particular event takes place. The layout can be configured remotely, toggled and much more.

Low-Light Correction: Improved display of dark areas
Low-Light Correction automatically identifies dark and unclear areas of the image and optimises them. Dark areas are brightened up to achieve a more realistic depth effect. The visibility of surveillance cameras in difficult lighting conditions is increased. Persons or objects can therefore no longer merge into the shadows.
Practical too: the day/night default settings. You can choose between the "Day" and "Night" default mode settings using the remote control. These are optimised to the respectively changing light conditions.
Optimise Settings for Cameras
Individually optimise Low-Light Correction and Outline Enhancer settings for up to 4 connected cameras in any layout. This is helpful when multiple cameras are used in environments with differing ambient lighting conditions.
Precise image rendering thanks to 10 bit conversion
The monitor converts 8 bit signals into 10 bit and selects the optimal colour values from a 10 bit look-up table (LUT). The effect: You will experience a colour-proof image with a fine resolution. The optimised data is then converted into an 8-bit output signal. This leads to fluid colour tone gradations. This is helpful in identifying dif cult to distinguish people and objects.
High contrast and colour accuracy from all angles of view.
The VA panel with wide viewing angle ensures that the contrast hardly falls when viewing the screen from any angle and there are only minimal differences in colour. This means that exact colour rendering and clear images can be achieved even in the corners of the screen.
Full HD screen with anti-glare coating
The monitor has a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels that fills the entire screen. The monitor therefore has space to conveniently display even large quantities of information. Images from Full HD cameras are rendered true down to the slightest detail, without annoying black bars. Reflected light is scattered thanks to its anti-reflection coating. To keep your monitor looking like new at all times and to prolong the service life of your device, we recommend cleaning it regularly. Clean the casing and LCD surface as described below:
IMPORTANT: Never use thinner, benzene, alcohol (ethanol, methanol or isopropyl alcohol), scouring agents or other strong solvents as these may damage the casing and the LCD display.
Remove marks by wiping the casing with a soft cloth, which you have previously moistened with a mild cleaning agent. Never spray wax or cleaning agents directly on to the casing. (The manual contains exact details.)
Where necessary, the monitor surface may be cleaned using a soft cloth (for example a cotton cloth or glasses cloth). Stubborn marks can generally be removed by wetting the cloth with a bit of water to increase the cleaning strength.
We cannot make a direct recommendation. The output signal should be digital and should support the maximum resolution of the monitor.
The viewing angle relates to the angle, beneath which the contrast is better than 10:1. These are normally values of 160° to 178°. These values do not provide any information about what enormous differences in contrast may result within the viewing angle. The contrasts should not change significantly for users with a perpendicular view and a slightly side-on view. It must not make a difference whether the viewer is looking at the middle of the image or the edge of the image. How much the contrast stability varies with different LCD technologies is best checked using a measurement diagram or by a direct visual comparison. The more stable the contrast in the user's viewing frustum, the better the image rendering.
Contrast is the ratio of white to black and for monitors is normally stated as a dark room contrast from a controlled laboratory environment. Typical contrasts on printed paper are 6:1 for newspapers, 31:1 for laser printers, 49:1 for photo paper. For example, dark room contrasts cannot be achieved in the office because an extremely deep black cannot be achieved in normal ambient light – even with the screen turned off.
